Facilitation training
“Perplexity is the beginning of knowledge.”
– Khalil Gibran
Facilitation is something a lot of people do as part of their job but typically don’t get much guidance for. It’s a largely invisible, soft skill that is crucial to enable more purposeful and effective conversations, meetings and engagements between colleagues, students, clients, family members etc.
Facilitation is about building bridges between different perspectives, needs, priorities and experiences so that people can understand and harness each other’s differences.
My facilitation training can be adapted to different contexts and is designed to support people to host engaging and inclusive conversations in their workplace, movements, schools and communities with greater clarity and confidence.
We start by exploring what the role and responsibility of the facilitator is (and isn’t!) and learn some simple tools for preparing well, staying on purpose, creating more safety in a group to enable meaningful engagement and dealing with power dynamics and conflict.
Please see my rates for an indication on pricing and drop me a line or set up a call to discuss what facilitation training in your context could look like.
The art of purposeful conversations
If you’re looking for facilitation training that is focused on a particular angle (such as navigating conflict or emotional triggers), want to explore regular practice sessions with emerging facilitators or anything else, I’d love to have a chat and think it through together.
